Are you looking for a family car that has speed as well as great looks? If so, then the 2008 Audi RS6 Avant is a car that you should be considering. Sure, when most people think of wagons, they think of huge cars that are not much in the way of performance, but this new Audi Avant will definitely change any idea that you may have of a station wagon. Basically this RS6 is basically the same as the Audi S6 version; however, it does come along with a few extras that the S6 doesn't have. Audi has definitely done a great job of combining family wagon with a sports car drive. So, if you have the need for speed but you want room for the entire family, this is a car you may want to give a second look.
If you take a close look under the hood of the 2008 Audi RS6 Avant, you'll find that there is a Lamborghini derived V-10 engine that has direct injection. In the RS6 you'll also find two small turbochargers as well, which jumps the power from the 435 horse power of the Audi S65 to 550 horsepower instead. So, this is the most power sedan that Audi has ever built, and to top that, it is now one of the most powerful four door vehicles ever made at all. Of course when it comes to station wagons, the RS6 definitely take the title for the most powerful one. When it comes to powerful sedans, this car is supposed to be smoother than its' competition when it comes to the use of the power and the ride of the car.
The 2008 Audi RS6 Avant also boasts a Tiptronic transmission as well as the special Audi Quattro all wheel drive as well. While the S6 can do 0-60 in a 5.1 second period of time, which isn't too shabby, the new RS6 is expected to cut this time down to about 4 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour. This car also will come without a speed limiter as well, so it will do well beyond the 155 mph carp that the S6's have. Take a close look at the suspension and you'll find that this suspension is quite stiff. The new RS6 Avant also boasts well ventilated brakes as well and carbon ceramic rotors are probably coming as part of the package as well.
Not only is this a fast and high performance wagon, but this is also a great looking car as well. It has a beautiful design that is sleek and stylish. While this car does not have the huge, billowing appearance that some of the older Audi's tend to have, it does feature some 4-style fender lips as well as some special window trip and silver mirror caps. Also there is a small lip spoiler on the car as well and if you look closely you'll see the dual exhaust pipes coming out from the back.
On the inside of the 2008 Audi RS6 Avant you'll find all the luxury that you have come to expect from the Audi name. The interior is definitely a step up above the S6 and you can begin to see where those "extras" come into play with the RS6. The seats are sporty and boast nappa leather. Carbon fiber trim is used in the vehicle and the shift paddles are aluminum. The dash top is attractive and made of leather and you'll notice that the steering wheel is a flat bottom one.
Of course with all the excellent features of it comes a pretty hefty price tag, falling just a bit short of $100,000. In spite of the high price tag, this is a great car to consider if you are looking for a luxury family car that is just packed full of power. It comfortably seats five people, so you'll be sure to get the whole family in comfortably. Most of all, no matter where you are going, you'll be sure to get there quickly with the fastest wagon out there on the market today. So, for those looking for a family car that is packed full of great options and power, the 2008 Audi RS6 Avant is definitely a car to consider.

Acura's Ace: the Acura Ball Joint
Acura is a Honda brand for cars--a name that's quite synonymous to luxury. After all, this is Honda's luxury car division in the U.S. . Since its launch in several markets worldwide, Acura has been widely associated with high-end automobile affluence in the automotive industry. Since 1996, Honda has been credited with being the first automaker to tap into a market for luxury Japanese cars located outside Japan. Before Acura, automobiles exported from Japan were primarily economical in design and largely targeted at low-cost consumers. The automobile lineup of Acura is highly recognized in the industry to be innovative as well as efficient. Garnering countless awards and recognition, most notably the prestigious Motor Trend "2001 Sport/Utility of the Year" award for the MDX SUV, Acura is quite recognized as an emerging leader in the queue of luxury car makers. Acura's practice in engineering is a simple principle. Basically, what the company wants is to manufacture and promote the use of top-of-the-line car parts and accessories that will improve the overall performance of the company's car models. Parts of each Acura car model's system is designed to contribute efficient functionality and to support the system it is part of.
A prime example would be the ball joint. Ball joints are parts of your vehicle's suspension assembly that links the steering knuckles to the control arms. A ball joint is essentially made up of a flexible ball and socket team that allows the suspension to move and the wheels to steer at about the same time. Cars and trucks without strut suspensions typically have four of them while sedans and minivans with strut suspensions have only two. Some front-wheel drive cars also have ball joints in the rear suspension assembly.
The case of the Aura ball joints, however, is a mile different from what is considered standard. Acura ball joints serve as key pivot points between the tires and suspension. And when it comes to suspension, Acura cars have great suspension systems because the Acura ball joints also support the suppressed weight of the entire vehicle. Acura considers the ball joints to be an essential component in every model they manufacture. This is likely one of the major reasons why the company continues to garner respect from its competitors. With valuable parts like these, it is safe to say that Acura will retain its outstanding position in the global market for many years to come.

The Best Shall Win The Race
Infiniti is a brand of luxury car produced by the Japanese automobile maker, Nissan Motor Company Ltd. It is a Japanese brand name sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Middle East and Taiwan. Its logo, the upward pointed triangle symbolizes Mt. Fuji, a mountain volcano highly revered in Japan. Infiniti is designed to compete with fellow Japanese automakers Toyota's Lexus and Honda's Acura, leading German competitors Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz, as well as the American Lincoln and Cadillac.
In the SUV category, it races with the specialists - Jeep and Land Rover. Nissan's famous Pathfinder was taken over by a modified and more luxurious Infinity QX4. It stays very close with competitors Lexus RX 300, Acura MDX and Mercedes-Benz ML320 in the luxury SUV market. The 2008 Infinity QX56 is full-sized luxury SUVs which has a 2WD and 4WD variants. It is powered by 5.6-liter V8 engine with 320 horsepower and 393 lb-ft torque.
Introduced in the United States in 1989, Infiniti aimed to produce and sell premium cars, a stride away from Nissan's mainstream reputation. It is by coincidence that Toyota and Honda also begun their bid during this time to establish their bid in the U.S. luxury car market with the introduction of Lexus and Acura, respectively.
Infiniti's introduction of a 278-horsepower V8 engined Q45, an all-wheel drive sedan that is equipped with an active suspension system - a breakthrough in automotive technology that controls vertical movement of the wheels with an onboard system. With this technology, movement is not solely determined by the surface or base wherein the wheel is running, and thus, eliminating body roll and pitch during corner turning, accelerating and braking. Active suspension achieves higher ride quality and handling, allowing the wheels to fit in the road for better grip and control. The Q45 earned the moniker "The Japanese Lincoln".
The M30 coupe, the so-called Americanized version of the Nissan Leopard, was Infiniti's bet to compete with the Acura Legend coupe. The G20 was produced with an eye to compete with the BMW 3-series. It was later replaced with the G35, which instantly became a hit as the Motor Trend Car of the Year for 2003. Infiniti G35 was nicknamed the "Japanese BMW." The 2008 model of the Infiniti G-series has a coupe (powered by 330 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine) and a sedan variant (with 206 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine). Another V8-powered sedan entered as the Infinity M-series (the smaller M35 and the more powerful M45). A sporty 2008 Infiniti FX has three models available.
Infiniti is threading the path to the future of automobiles with a passion for a new breed of cars called Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUV). This new design marries the performance of a sedan and the flexibility of an SUV. Infiniti has placed the all-new Infiniti EX to pioneer in this category.
Company executives envisioned the weaning away Infiniti from Nissan's image. To stay in the race, their philosophy is to rely on the best design and the infinite opportunities available to compete. In their own words, "We will have our eyes fixed on BMW (the industry leader in luxury cars) this time."
Help Infiniti live its own name by dressing your keys with Infiniti Keychains, available in elegant metal designs engraved with the "Mt Fuji" logo and the name of your preferred automobile brand "INFINITY".

How Much Should I Expect To Pay For A Limo In Dallas
Individuals rent limousines in Dallas for many different reasons. If you are a business executive, it makes sense to present a favorable impression upon important clients when they arrive at or depart from our local airports. It is also prudent to provide your special guests with appropriately luxurious transportation around town as they travel to meetings and presentations. If you are in charge of planning and organizing your best friend's bachelor or bachelorette party, if you are arranging luxury transportation for a wedding party, or if you have a student who is planning on attending a prom, then a luxury Dallas limousine is a fun and safe way for your friends and family to travel. But how much should you expect to pay for Limo Service in Dallas?
Rates for DFW Limos are based on several factors. First is the particular vehicle you wish to rent. Vehicles range in size from sedans and SUVs to stretch limousines and even limo buses and coaches. Typically the larger the vehicle, the greater the rental fee. However, if there are a large number of people to transport, hiring one large luxury vehicle could be much more cost effective then having to pay for several smaller ones.
Another aspect that will come into play with determining the service fee is how long you will require the vehicle. The rental cost will depend on how long you wish to use the service. You will want to find out if there is a difference in price for traveling from spot to spot, or choosing to hire the limousine service for a certain minimum number of hours. The advantage of using a Dallas limo is that with quality service you also get flexibility, so that if your plans change and you need the service for longer than you anticipated, that can easily be accommodated.
The day of the week and the time of day will affect the price you pay to rent a luxury limousine. You might expect to pay more for weekend service as opposed to weekday, and there could be an additional charge for early morning or light night travel.
As a general rule of thumb, in Dallas and Fort Worth you might expect to pay in the $50 range by the hour for luxury sedan service, and in the $75 to $85 dollar range hourly for a luxury SUV or stretch limousine. Limousine buses can be procured from excellent Dallas limousine services for around $115 per hour. For special events, some superior limo services in Dallas will offer package deals that are cost effective and provide exceptional service with professionally trained executive chauffeurs on your special day. Stress-free travel is assured with outstanding limousine service in Dallas.
The market for limousine services in Dallas is competitive. As a consumer you can choose from among many top-rated services for your clients and still get a bargain. Jonathon Blocker has written this informative guide describing what you should pay and what services you should expect from the a high quality limo service in and around Dallas.

2006 Acura MDX: Luxury With A View
You have to love the marketing guys. After all of the work of the design team, a new vehicle must pass through several rigorous channels including engineering, safety, performance, quality, durability, craftsmanship, government inspections, and management clearance, before even the first rivet is drilled or body panel painted. After all is said and done, the marketers get their chance to pitch the final product. In one word the MDX has been defined by these very same marketers: benchmark. Does the MDX live up to this all important designation? Acura would like for you to think so. Let’s take a look at Acura’s 7 passenger luxury SUV to see if it truly does rise to the level of category leader.
The marketplace is flooded with SUVs. Despite high gas prices, the demand for high profile vehicles continues to remain strong, particularly in the sub-behemoth category which is anything smaller than an Expedition or a Tahoe. Still, some of these less imposing models are fuel eaters too, equipped with V8 engines and all the latest gadgetry. If you want to realize fuel savings in an SUV a compact Ford Escape Hybrid is just about your only choice, plus a new Lexus model just now hitting showrooms.
I digress.
The Acura MDX, along with its less opulent sister the Honda Pilot, embodies a class of vehicles that offer four wheel drive capabilities for optimum on road duty as well as medium off road duty. If you want a trail rated luxury SUV, then the Jeep Gran Cherokee is more your style. The MDX just cannot go where the Jeep can go.
All comparisons aside, the Acura is definitely luxury with a high profile view. The standard equipment list is extensive and includes the following:
3.5-liter, 24-valve, SOHC V-6 engine
5-speed automatic transmission
Rack-and-pinion steering system and an all-independent front and rear suspension
4-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
7-speaker sound system with AM/FM stereo, in-dash CD player, and XM® Satellite Radio
Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition™; OnStar®
Tilt steering, cruise control, a power sliding-glass moon roof
Electrically heated leather seating for front passengers
Power everything; windows, mirrors, door locks, etc.
Environmentally conscious SUV owners will enjoy the MDX for its recent Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV-2) designation, a first for any SUV. What this means is that the MDX’s emissions ratings are extremely low, far below that of acceptable government levels.
The base MDX retails at a highly competitive $37,125 with fully loaded versions topping out just about forty five thousand dollars. Prices compare favorably with the Jeep Gran Cherokee, but the MDX undercuts BMW and Mercedes models by several thousands of dollars.
Acura recommends that owners use premium [91 octane] gasoline in their MDX. Delivering 17 miles city and 23 miles highway, the MDX’s fuel economy is about average for a vehicle of its size.
While the marketers want you to think that the MDX is the benchmark by which all other SUVs must be measured against, it fails to deliver in the all important off road category. Still, Acura price, luxury, and quality is certain to be a draw for buyers interested in a vehicle that is just about as opulent as any production SUV.

BMW X3
If you want a luxury sport utility vehicle by BMW, but cannot afford the X5, your other option is to consider the X3. From the outside of the BMW X3 you may get the feeling that it is a bit too small for your tastes. But you should not judge this car until you get inside of it. After you are firmly placed in the driver’s seat of a BMW X3 you will find out that there is more than enough available room. Not only can the driver fit comfortably, but adding four passengers is easy as well. Plus, you can throw a decent amount of luggage in the trunk area as well.
On the road the BMW X3 performs nicely. The 3.0 liter V6 engine puts out 225 horses. In addition, it gets 17 miles per gallon in the city, and 25 on the highway. This is among the best in the class and a huge selling point in today’s day and age of high gas prices.

BMW M Sport Badge Now Available For X5
The BMW M Sport trim level is known for its sport-oriented features which make it a favorite among performance enthusiasts. Recently, the said derivative was introduced to BMW’s flagship - the X5. The introduction of the said badging to the luxury SUV is expected to further increase the popularity of the vehicle among SUV faithful followers.
The said trim level gives the SUV more sports-oriented features than the top of the line SE trim level. In fact, the introduction of the BMW M Sport to the X5 also introduced the newest top of the line X5.
The BMW X5 4.8i M Sport, as the top of the line X5 is called, comes equipped with a set of i9-inch V-spoke M light alloy wheels which makes the SUV more appealing. The sports suspension is also a standard feature for the M Sport badge. The presence of this suspension setting means that the vehicle became nimbler than its predecessors. The M aerodynamic styling is also part of the M Sport package. The X5 is designed to reduce drag therefore reducing the load on the engine. Exterior design cues such as the BMW grille, side and quarter panels are enhanced by the aerodynamic M styling.
Inside the luxury SUV, BMW introduced the Sports seat which resembles those used by race cars. Additional styling comes with the matte aluminum surround which accented the side window frames. Even the roof rails are improved with the M Sport package in the form of high-gloss Shadowline roof rails. Anthracite headliners also come with the M Sport package as well as the M leather steering wheel for the comfort of the driver. An optional set of 20-inch M V-spoke light alloy wheels is available for those who want bigger and flashier wheels.
The introduction of the M Sport package to the X5’s lineup comes at an appropriate time since BMW consumers are looking for sports-oriented packages. It is reported that 90 percent of X5 models sold were badged as the Sport.
The color choice for the BMW X5 M Sport is wide with six colors available. These are Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Carbon Black, Monaco Blue, Space Grey, and Titanium Silver. For the cabin of the SUV, Nevada leather upholsteries are available in different colors. Consumers can choose between Black, Grey, Beige and Saddle Brown hues to complement their exterior color choice. The interior trim color can also be changed by consumers from the standard Dark Walnut to Brushed Aluminum, Dark Bamboo or Light Poplar.
Powering the X5 M Sport is a 4.8-liter V8 engine. The powerplant is complemented by BMW’s engine technologies which are the Bi-VANOS and VALVETRONIC variable valve timing. The combination of these gives the V8 engine a power output of 355 hp. That power is enough to propel the SUV to 60 miles per hour from a standstill in just 6.5 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 150 miles per hour.
While the SUV sports a big engine, its engine technologies enable the X5 to become more fuel efficient than Porsche and Audi luxury SUVs. BMW claims that the X5 can run for 22.6 miles on a gallon of fuel in combined city and highway driving. Greenhouse gas emission is also lower than Porsche and Audi SUVs at 299 grams per kilometers traveled.
